 Three consecutive integers can be represented by n, n+1, and n+2.   If the sum of three consecutive integers is 57 what are the integers

n = 1st consecutive integer
n + 1 = 2nd consecutive integer
n + 2 = 3rd consecutive integer

n + n + 1 + n + 2 = 57   {sum of the three consecutive integers is 57}
3n + 3 = 57   {combined like terms}
3n = 54   {subtracted 3 from each side}
n = 18   {divided each side by 3}
n + 1 = 19   {substituted 18, in for n, into n + 1}
n + 2 = 20  {substituted 18, in for n, into n + 2}

18, 19, 20 are the three consecutive integers
