Math Help:)

The length of a box is 2 cm. less than its height. The width of the box is 8 cm. more than its length. What is a polynomial that represents the volume of the box? And, if the box has a volume of 96 cubic cm., what is its surface area? How would you find this?

x = height
x - 2 = length {length is 2 less than height}
x + 6 = width {width is 8 more than length}

Volume = length x width x height

V = x(x - 2)(x + 6)
x(x - 2)(x + 6) = 96 {volume is 96}

- continue to solve for x, and then find the surface area
