An arrow is shot vertically upward from a platform 39 ft high at a rate of 153 ft/sec.  When will the arrow hit the ground?  Use the formula:  h=−16t^2+v0t+h0 round to nearest tenth

Re: formula

initial velocity is 153
initial height is 39
0 is height of ground

0 = -16t² + 153t + 39   {substituted into formula}

Use quadratic formula.

t ≈ 9.8 seconds
