Slope-intercept form is y = mx + b

m is the slope

b is the y-intercept

6x+5y=30

5y = -6x + 30 {subtracted 6x from both sides}

y = (-6/5)x + 6 {divided both sides by 5 to get into slope-intercept form}

**slope = -6/5**y-intercept = 6

To graph:

- put a point on 6 on the y-axis {that is the y-intercept}

- from there, go down 6 and to the right five and put another point

{since slope means rise over run, the rise is -6 and the run is +5}

- draw a line through the two points
