The sum of two consecutive even integers is 66. Find the integers.

x = first even integer
x + 2 = second even integer   ← even integers increase by 2

x + x + 2 = 66   ← the sum of the two is 66
2x + 2 = 66   ←  combined like terms
2x = 64   ← subtracted 2 from each side
x = 32   ← divided each side by 2
x + 2 = 34   ← substituted 32, in for x, into x + 2

32 and 34 are the two consecutive even integers
